Abbott in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking an engineer to provide design and development support for new and existing medical devices and processes. You will design sub-assemblies, evaluate designs with tests, and help ensure manufacturability and reliability across a range of product families.
You will work under guidance from a technical lead or manager, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to continuous quality improvement while meeting project timelines.

Provides engineering support to new and existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and tools.
Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems with some guidance from technical lead or manager.
Supports continuous quality improvement and may serve as technical lead for individual projects (component/subassembly).
Bachelors Degree in a related field
Electrical/mechanical engineering, bio-medical, material science, or related engineering field.

Relevant Experience
Engineering experience in product / process development and technical design. Ability to apply statistics and analytical thinking. Technical knowledge and expertise of subsystems, design protocols, and problem-solving tools. Ability to apply statistics and analytical thinking. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Strong written & verbal communication skill Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
The base pay for this position is $50,700.00 - $101,300.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
