As an Associate QA Tester, you will be responsible for writing, executing, and maintaining test cases to validate functionality, performance, and security compliance of our products. This role requires 1–2 years of experience in software testing, with an emphasis on test case creation and execution. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and process analysts to ensure high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

  • Write, review, and execute manual test cases based on product requirements, design specifications, and process documentation.
  • Report, track, and verify software defects using our issue tracking system (i.e. Jira)
  • Participate in QA planning sessions and release reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure testing activities align with internal QA standards and processes.
  • Provide feedback on usability, performance, and potential security concerns in tested COTS applications.
  • Assist in the review and development of process documentation, via Lucid chart, that supports test case creation and product understanding.
  • Contribute to test documentation and test summary reports.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience writing and executing software test cases.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test cycles, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to analyze requirements, design documentation, and process documents to derive comprehensive test cases.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test case management tools.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 10% out-of-town travel to regional offices and/or data centers
  • Work remotely or at the regional office when not traveling

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work
  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
