iCapital is seeking an Associate Python Developer to join the Core Operations Technology team in Stamford, CT. You’ll build scalable Python applications, collaborate with senior engineers, and contribute to REST APIs, data processing, and testing.

This role requires 1–2 years of Python experience, familiarity with AWS (Lambda, S3), Docker, SQL, and modern web frameworks. It offers hybrid work, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years Python development with REST APIs, JSON, and Git.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and Linux/Unix; Flask or Django web frameworks.
• AWS services including Lambda and S3; Azure or GCP familiarity is a plus.
• Testing frameworks (pytest/unittest), Docker, HTML/CSS/JS; Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and collaborative skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues in existing code.
• Collaborate on code reviews and agile development processes.
• Develop REST APIs, web services, and data pipelines.
• Write unit tests and automated tests to ensure quality.
• Integrate third-party libraries and APIs; support CI/CD.
• Work with Lambda for serverless tasks and AWS S3 for storage.
• Contribute ideas for improvements and stay updated on emerging tech.
