Associate Protein Chemistry – Purification
What you will do

Amgen is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Protein Therapeutics (PT) Protein Chemistry team. The role focuses on the engineering, production, assessment, and final selection of large molecule drug candidates that advance to Process Development.

Responsibilities
  • Purify novel and complex molecules that represent the next generation of large molecule therapeutics.
  • Contribute to the execution of our protein purification and analytics capabilities.
  • Organize, analyze, and report findings to support lead candidate selection.
  • Partner with Project, Analytics and Automation teams to advance the pipeline.
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, or
  • Associate’s degree plus 4 years of relevant scientific experience, or
  • High school diploma / GED plus 6 years of protein purification and/or protein analytics experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and collaborative in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem‑solving track record.
  • Experience with protein purification, chromatography resins, instrumentation, and software.
  • Familiarity with protein analytics fundamentals and techniques.
  • Experience handling and analyzing large datasets.
