Job summary

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Professional Scientific Services in San Diego is seeking a Lab Technician to assist in protein generation, purification, and analytical characterization. The role focuses on antibody/protein purification, assay development, and data analysis to support reagent generation.

The candidate will work 8am–5pm, with occasional overtime, and should have a Bachelor's degree in biology/biochemistry/chemistry and experience in protein purification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology/biochemistry/chemistry or similar discipline.
• Experience in protein purification and analytical characterizations.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in routine antibody purification using established platform process.
• Assist protein reagents purification using various column separation techniques.
• Independently conduct antibody/protein analysis using HPLC and other methods.
• Assist in general lab tasks to support analytical biochemistry and biophysical techniques.
• Document all experimental results and present obtained data.

Job Description

Eurofins PSS in San Diego is looking to expand its capabilities in protein generation and analytical characterizations within Protein Biosciences group. The overall responsibility of the individual will be to assist in protein and other discovery reagents expression and purification, analytical assays of purified proteins, and other related lab tasks to support reagent generation.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

• Proficient in routine antibody purification using established platform process
• Assist protein reagents purification using various column separation techniques
• Independently conduct antibody/protein analysis using HPLC and other related methods for protein characterization
• Assistance in general lab tasks to support analytical biochemistry and biophysical techniques, including sample preparation, data collection and data analysis
• Appropriate documentation of all experimental results, and the sharing and presentation of obtained results
• Highly detail-oriented, eager to learn new techniques, and maintains high precision in daily lab operations
  

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or similar discipline
• Experience in protein purification and analytical characterizations.
