Job Description
Responsible for serving at properties where there is a vacancy as a result of illness, scheduling or termination and perform and/or assist in all of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Property Manager Job Description.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly EIV reports and save in secured document files.
- Process special claims.
- Assist with completing move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
- Assist with regularly conducting marketing surveys.
- Implement positive resident relations program for the community.
- Show, lease and complete application processing for potential residents.
- Assist Property Manager in training and developing team members to achieve property benchmarks.
- Inspect the property regularly and schedule improvements and repairs.
- Complete and submit, timely and accurately, all records, reports and documents required by the Company and federal or state agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all HUD and Fair Housing regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the management of residential or commercial facilities as Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Experience with the following affordable program, if applicable to the hiring property: Conventional/Market, Section 8 Family, Section 8 Elderly, Tax Credit, RAD, Home, and the IRS’s Safe Harbor guidelines.
- Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Demonstrated supervisory potential.
- Must have strong marketing and administrative skills and be flexible to work at many different properties.
- High energy and an ability to work well with others is a must.
- Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
- Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
- Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
- Must have reliable transportation as travel throughout the portfolio will be necessary.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend the English language.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
