Job summary

A healthcare real estate firm is seeking an entry-level Property Accountant in Chicago. Responsibilities include managing month-end financial processes, preparing bank reconciliations, and ensuring financial statement deadlines are met. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and strong communication and analytical skills. Competitive salary range is $54,000-$57,000 plus benefits and a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for month end close, including preparation of all journal entries/accruals necessary to complete monthly financials.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain monthly balance sheet workpapers.
• Interface with building management and owner representatives on financial and operational issues.
• Assist with the preparation of annual escalation and settlement billings for CAM, RET and other applicable additional charges.
• Responsible for key financial aspects of the property including real estate tax payments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month end close, including preparation of all journal entries/accruals necessary to complete monthly financials
• Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain monthly balance sheet workpapers
• Responsible for all accounting and financial statement distribution deadlines
• Prepare monthly management fee billing/reimbursement information for payment by owner
• Maintain cash logs with daily activity and monitor cash balances
• Interface with building management and owner representatives on financial and operational issues
• Assist with the preparation of annual escalation and settlement billings for CAM, RET and other applicable additional charges
• Responsible for key financial aspects of the property including real estate tax payments
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
