Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M) is seeking anAssoc Project Manager to bridge field operations and senior management on national utility projects.

You will help plan, coordinate, and monitor distribution, transmission, and substation work with a hands-on approach on site and in the office. The role requires a foundation in utility construction, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage schedules, costs, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of construction experience; at least 1 year in project coordination or field support in utilities/infrastructure.
• Familiarity with drawings, specs, and utility standards (NESC/NEC).
• Proficiency with MS Office; exposure to scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Procore) is a plus.
• Understanding of earned value tracking and project performance indicators.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in planning, executing, and closing utility construction projects.
• Coordinate daily with field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain progress.
• Monitor schedules and budgets; track progress against baselines using EV principles.
• Assist with work plans, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress, safety, and quality standards.
• Attend internal and client meetings; document notes and action items.
• Assist in reviewing invoices and preparing billing documentation.
