Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a project manager to oversee end-to-end delivery of initiatives within our cancer research and workforce development programs. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and align with leadership to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities include leading project execution, updating stakeholders, and monitoring performance against schedules and budgets. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of standardized project management tools and methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate on projects and improve workflows.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of projects; coordinates the activities of a project team, identifies appropriate resources, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Partners with project sponsors, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to determine project goals and priorities.
  • Manages project expectations with stakeholders, sponsors and others as appropriate; advises on project progress, potential issues, obstacles, risk, conflicts or challenges.
  • Provides project status updates to Senior Project Manager and/or Functional Area Manager as required.
  • Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or project resource additions to ensure quality standards are met for all project deliverables.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
