Olsson is seeking an Associate Project Manager in the West Des Moines, IA area to lead small-to-mid sized projects through all life cycles. You will assemble project teams, define scope, schedule and budget, manage resources, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of site design experience, and PE licensure, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Project management experience with scope, schedule, and budget control.
• 8+ years of site design and development experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assembles project teams and assigns responsibilities to align skills with project objectives.
• Communicates project scope, schedule, and budget to team, client, and contractors.
• Develops budgets, reviews costs, and tracks adherence to plans.
• Secures resources for all stages and ensures timely completion.
• Identifies risks and implements cost-saving mitigation strategies.
• Leads regular client and team meetings; maintains project records.
• Maintains strong client relationships to secure future work.
• Mentors staff on project management best practices and tools.
• Adheres to regulations and enforces safety standards.
