Job summary

Siemens in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support Project Managers by coordinating schedules, reviewing specs, and managing subcontractors for low voltage controls in HVAC and Fire Alarm systems.

You will track resources, handle change orders, assist with project billing and close-out documentation, and ensure safety policies are followed while maintaining strong team communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and eligible for Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and project documents to establish project intent.
• Developing and maintaining a project schedule and coordinating needs with the project team.
• Managing requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Reviewing plans and specifications and participating in project cost reviews.
• Contracting of subcontractors.
• Tracking resources and project progress.
• Documenting project events affecting schedule and scope.
• Creating project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Project-specific billing and close-out documentation.
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and report unsafe conditions.

As the Associate Project Manager, you will assist Project Managers with:

• Managing the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Reviewing plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
• Contracting of subcontractors.
• Tracking resources and project progress.
• Documenting project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
• Creating project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Project-specific billing, collaborating with the Project Manager.
• Project-specific close-out documentation.
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Project experience strongly preferred
• Associate or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
• 3+ years of technical experience in the low voltage controls industry (HVAC and Fire Alarm systems)

The pay range for this position is $50,337 - $86,292 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
