Job summary

Societe Generale in New York seeks an Associate for the Project & Infrastructure Syndicate to originate and execute syndicated loan financings in the Americas. You will work with SG’s industry sector teams to structure markets and coordinate with loan sales and trading for best execution.

The role requires a track record in lead arrangements, solid credit assessment, and strong client networking. You will mentor junior team members and contribute to market intelligence across syndication

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines on active bookrunner/lead arranger mandates in the syndicated loan market.
• Strong presentation skills, both orally and written.
• Basic understanding of complex financial structures and legal documents.
• Credit skills and ability to properly assess underwriting risks.
• Existing relationships with key participants in the syndicated loans markets.
• Strong networking skills both internally and external to the firm.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 3+ years within financial services, specifically loan capital markets & syndicate, or in one of the target sectors.
• Knowledge of the loan capital markets, loan investor base, and financing structures relevant to the target sectors.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute syndicated loan financings in the Americas across the group’s activities.
• Identify market trends and advise clients on syndication strategies for best execution.
• Collaborate with industry sector teams to develop market-based structures and capital solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks and institutional loan investors for market intelligence.
• Originate mandates and execute transactions upon mandate.
• Develop junior Syndicate team members and manage deal teams on new deals.
• Provide market outreach and intelligence to industry sector teams during advisory mandates.
