Job summary

Team LINX LLP (LINX Multimedia) seeks an Associate Project Engineer to own delegated scope and contribute to multiple AV design projects. You will produce shop drawings, generate RFIs/COs, and support site walks while collaborating with PMs, Production, Programming, Field, and Design Engineers.

The role requires 2+ years in AV/drafting, AutoCAD proficiency, and Bluebeam experience. You will read construction drawings, manage deliverables, and ensure quality across CAD standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in AV integration, drafting, or related field.
  • AutoCAD proficiency; intermediate to advanced modeling.
  • Experience with Bluebeam; ability to create markups.
  • Solid understanding of AV signal flow and design.
  • Ability to create AV shop drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and one-line diagrams.
  • Ability to read construction drawings.
  • Familiarity with the RFI process.
  • Able to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Solve common design issues and pull in a Project Engineer for complex problems; identify and escalation issues on the assigned scope appropriately.
  • Produce AV shop drawings (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, one-line diagrams) with increasing independence; routine delegated work comes back clean from review.
  • Generate RFIs and Change Orders when projects require.
  • Maintain red lines and as-builts in Bluebeam Studio; maintain LINX standards for CAD and drafting documents.
  • Perform site walks and support customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with PMs, Production, Programming, Field, and Design Engineers.

Qualifications
Required
  • 2+ years of experience in professional audio/video integration, drafting, or a construction-related field

  • Solid understanding of AV system signal flow and design

Preferred
  • AVIXA CTS (preferred)
  • AVIXA CTS plus at least one manufacturer certification
  • Experience installing commercial-grade AV systems

FLSA Status: Exempt

  • 401K with 50% employer match up to first 5%
