Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inputs and maintains accurate project cost, schedule, and performance data in control systems and spreadsheets; supports validation and integrity checks.
  • Assists in preparing standard reports, charts, and summaries for internal teams using templates and formats; compiles routine data for progress reports.
  • Updates schedules with progress information from team members; assists with schedule reviews and formatting.
  • Tracks invoices, purchase orders, and actuals; maintains cost logs and assists reconciliation activities.
  • Maintains organized project controls documentation, including change requests, forecasts, and approvals; supports audit preparation and compliance checks.
  • Tracks change requests and updates in the project change log; helps gather required documentation for change reviews.
  • Attends project meetings to take notes and assist in tracking follow-up actions; distributes materials and schedules controls-related meetings.
  • Gains working knowledge of project controls tools through daily use; follows processes and workflows within systems.
  • Seeks training opportunities to build foundational project controls knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inputs and maintains accurate project cost, schedule, and performance data in project control systems and spreadsheets. Supports data validation and integrity checks under the guidance of more senior team members.
  • Assists in preparing standard reports, charts, and summaries for internal teams using templates and established formats. Compiles routine data for use in performance and progress reports.
  • Helps update schedules with progress information provided by team members. Assists with schedule reviews and formatting under direction.
  • Supports the tracking of invoices, purchase orders, and actuals. Helps maintain cost logs and support reconciliation activities.
  • Maintains organized records of project controls documentation, including change requests, forecasts, and approvals. Supports audit preparation and compliance checks by ensuring documentation is current and accessible.
  • Tracks change requests and updates in the project change log. Assists with gathering required documentation for change reviews.
  • Attends project meetings to take notes and assist in tracking follow-up actions related to project controls. Distributes meeting materials and support scheduling of controls-related meetings.
  • Gains working knowledge of project controls tools & systems through day-to-day use and training. Follows basic processes and workflows within project controls systems.
  • Actively pursues training and development opportunities in cost control, scheduling, risk, and performance measurement. Seeks guidance from senior team members to build foundational project controls knowledge.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field preferred.
  • Three (3) years or more refining or petrochemical industry experience, or zero (0) years or more of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
