Associate Program Manager, Retail Products
Location: Remote - Candidates located in Michigan or Indiana are preferred

Working closely with the portfolio manager, this individual will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the successful delivery across multiple functional areas, including internal operations, client support, and stakeholder management.

Come join our team as an Associate Program Manager of residential energy efficiency utility programs in the Midwest. You will build and manage relationships with clients, manage subcontractors, and design and implement program strategies and plans. Management of the program includes meeting established goals while maintaining budgets, conducting cost-benefit analyses and evaluating the impact of residential products programs, and ensuring that programs comply with regulatory guidelines.

What you will be doing:

This position requires experience with client relationships, budget tracking, invoicing, people management, and program management. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following core program responsibilities across the client territory:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the contract serving as the main point of contact for the client
  • Direct oversight of program budgets and tracking & reporting Key Performance Indicators
  • Review program performance towards goals on a regular basis including program forecasting
  • Coordinate with client and ICF team to ensure all program goals are met, and adjust as needed to meet goals
  • Assist in the direct support of client outreach, meetings, and ad hoc requests including 1-on-1 monthly client meetings
  • Management of direct reports including but not limited to timesheet/expense approval, PTO approval, regular individual check-in meetings, and annual performance reviews
  • Support monthly invoicing and reporting as well as all outreach, recruitment, marketing, QA/QC, and subcontractor activities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Program requirements and ongoing Program updates
  • Collaborate with regional and national teams to provide national cohesion and bring efficiencies & best practices to your client’s programs
  • Other duties as required to support our work nationally and provide direct support to division leadership as needed.


What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 3+ years of related experience working in energy efficiency, energy, utility, or sustainability programs and/or related experience

What we would like you to have (preferred qualifications):

  • Experience leading cross-organizational projects from planning to execution and managing client/vendor relationships
  • Experience working with retailers and/or manufacturers and understanding the retail industry or programs that focus on energy efficient products
  • Experience mentoring and leading teams

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$81,094.00 - $137,860.00 Michigan Remote Office (MI99)
