Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine.
• Strong commitment to teaching and faculty development is expected for new graduates.
• Experience as core faculty and dedication to medical education is preferred.
• Ability to balance outpatient and inpatient clinical duties with residency leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum development and ensure accreditation standards are met.

What You'll Do

• Lead & Innovate: Oversee curriculum development, ensure ACGME accreditation, guide recruitment, selection, and advancement of residents.
• Precept & Teach Residents: Provide direct supervision, hands-on training, and mentorship in both clinical and academic settings.
• Mentor & Inspire: Foster a passion for lifelong learning, oversee educational instruction, and support academic initiatives like book clubs, grand rounds, and conferences.
• Advance Medicine: Collaborate with ASU SOMME to integrate emerging medical technologies into resident education.
• Maintain Clinical Excellence: Provide direct patient care through a small, active continuity practice while actively engaging in the inpatient teaching service to mentor and educate residents in a hands-on clinical setting.
