The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania seeks an Associate Professor for the non-tenure clinician educator track with expertise in surgical pathology and a focus on thoracic pathology.

Responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; participating in the Surgical Pathology service with thoracic coverage across Penn Medicine hospitals; general frozen section and autopsy duties; and

Qualifications

• MD degree required.
• American Board of Pathology certification (AP-only or AP/CP) required.
• Expertise in surgical pathology with a focus on thoracic pathology.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Participate in Surgical Pathology service with Thoracic Pathology coverage across Penn Medicine hospitals.
• Cover general frozen section, autopsy service and night/weekend calls as applicable.
• Develop an independent or collaborative research program in anatomic pathology, with emphasis on thoracic pathology.
