Job summary

The candidate should have an emphasis in Organizational Communication and a record of teaching, service, and research appropriate for the rank. A secondary interest in Crisis & Risk Communication, Social Media & Digital Communication, Applied Communication, or Political Communication is welcome.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in communication studies.
• Emphasis in Organizational Communication.
• Record of teaching breadth and quality.
• Record of peer-reviewed publication or performance and/or grant-funded research.
• Record of service to academic departments, college, university, discipline, and/or community.
• Secondary specialization in crisis and risk communication; social media & digital communication; applied communication; or political communication.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Organizational Communication, Business and Professional Communication, and Communication Ethics.
• Serve on undergraduate honors thesis committees and advise undergraduate students.
• Engage in service obligations including coordinating internship programs and contributing to department activities.
• Conduct research/creative activity leading to publications or performances.
