Position Overview

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree, be fellowship trained in facial plastic/reconstructive surgery, and be board certified or board eligible.

Responsibilities
  1. Medical student, resident, and fellow education, including formal lectures.
  2. Serve as Co-Director of the facial plastics fellowship program.
  3. Clinical treatment of cosmetic and reconstructive facial cases, including Rhinoplasty, Facelift, Neck Lift, Brow Lift, Blepharoplasty, Otoplasty, and facial reconstruction post-MOHS.
  4. Development of programs in facial nerve reanimation and gender-affirming surgery is encouraged.
  5. Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, program development, quality improvement, and innovation in care delivery.
Qualifications
  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Fellowship training in facial plastic/reconstructive surgery.
  • Board certification or eligibility.
