Job summary

Liberty University School of Law invites applicants for a full-time associate professor in the residential Juris Doctor program. The successful candidate will teach across first-year, upper-division required, and elective courses, engage in scholarship, and mentor students.

A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school is required; ideal candidates demonstrate excellence in teaching and a strong Biblical worldview, with a commitment to mentoring and service within a Christian educational mission.

Qualifications

• J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Recognized academic and professional background.
• Must give unmistakable promise of ability for excellent teaching, scholarship, service, and ability to work as part of a team.
• At least three years of prior law school teaching experience or at least seven years of practice experience required.
• Clear demonstration of commitment to the mission as evidenced by past scholarship.
• Commitment to student mentoring and professional development.
• Enthusiasm for working with law students.

Pay Range

Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's rank, contract length, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

$95,200.00 - $150,000.00
