With an anticipated start date of August2026, this position is part of the Office of the Provost Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cluster HireInitiative, which aims to expand AI interdisciplinary research and instruction across theUniversityThis position is part of the cluster, "Development and Application of Multimodal FoundationModels to Clinical Decision Support Systems," which is jointly led by the College ofEngineering and Architecture and the College of Medicine. The goal is to bring together andinvest in faculty across departments whose research and scholarship are linked through thiscluster and to attract faculty members who can bring different perspectives.This cluster aims to recruit scholars with expertise in the development of AI models andmultimodal models, as well as their application to electronic medical records (EMR).
