Job summary

MilliporeSigma seeks a manufacturing support role to perform operations ensuring quality across the process and to support routine assays and unit operations. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Science or Engineering field.
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years in chemical production, lab or engineering roles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operations to meet quality expectations throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct routine assays, processes and unit operations.
  • Support lab functions: maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock supplies, dispose waste.
  • Record data accurately per quality guidelines and participate in audits.
  • Ensure logbooks are fully completed and up-to-date.
  • Identify improvements using scientific knowledge within change control procedures.
  • Assist with training.
  • Work in large-scale and glass lab environments.

Your Role
  • Perform operations to meet quality expectations throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform routine assays, processes and/or unit operations.
  • Contribute to support functions of the lab (e.g., maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal).
  • Provide complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines. Participate inquality audits.
  • Ensure all applicable logbooks have been filled out completely.
  • Improve processes through application of scientific knowledge, experience, and principles while in compliance with change control procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with training.
  • Work in both a large-scale process environment and a glass lab environment.
Shift/Hours

12-hour night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - 2/2/3 schedule (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat).

Physical Attributes
  • Wearappropriate PPE.
  • Liftup to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Life Science or Engineering discipline.
  • OR
  • High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of work experience in a chemical production, laboratory or chemical engineering role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong chemistry and math skills.
  • Experience with chemical production on the glassware scale.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments and production equipment.
  • Experience in an independent chemistry research lab or industrialexperience.
  • Experience with process techniques and unit operations.
  • Experience in analytical techniques and equipment.
  • Experience withsafe chemical handling methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay Range for this position

$27/hr - $48hr

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
