Aristocrat seeks an Associate Product Quality Engineer to join a vital team ensuring product quality and compliance. This role involves delivering software submissions accurately, providing technical support, and collaborating with stakeholders to uphold quality standards. Ideal candidates possess strong QA skills, a degree in Computer Science, and experience with gaming technology.
The Associate Product Quality Engineer will be joining a team whose role is vital to meeting the company's key priorities and strategic goals to ensure the success of the business. The Associate’s other responsibilities include technical support for all internal stakeholders, collaborating with stakeholders to improve on the delivery of quality products, and early identification of quality and regulatory issues to prevent unnecessary expenditure on product submissions.
What You'll Do
Land Base Product Submissions
Must deliver submission packages within the required turnaround timeframe.
Submission package completion and responsibilities consist of the following:
Compile and sign source code to create signed software binary images.
Review game submission help screens to ensure accuracy and meet regulatory requirements.
Run signature calculations for different algorithms, such as GAT 3.5 and SHA1, and ensure they are accurately documented.
Creation of emulation drives to support reel strip and combination testing of game software.
Boot game software on the compatible cabinet in a production environment to ensure the game software was compiled, built, and signed correctly.
Online/Interactive Product Submissions
Must deliver submission packages within he required turnaround timeframe.
Submission package completion and responsibilities consist of the following:
Review of assets submitted for accuracy and completeness
Ensure parts and ECO entries are complete and accurate
Key User and Maintenance of Copy Protecting Site:
Must have a strong understanding of software/hardware compatibility to ensure that only compatible game software is created and released to Integration Centres (IC).
Must ensure that only approved/certified software components have been released to the correct IC.
Must ensure any obsolete/revoked software is removed from the Copy Protection Site.
Must request game software regression testing prior to game set creation and release to IC.
Own (along with the team) all aspects of the application, including quality, performance testing, and production support.
Technical Support for Internal Stakeholders:
Generate game builds on production media with platform and core code for debug and production environments for the following:
Master software copies for the integration centre
Trade shows and showrooms
Global Gaming Expo is one of the industry’s largest trade shows. Must be able to apply project management skills to tackle your everyday-to-day tasks and provide software for this tradeshow simultaneously.
Cabinet/Hardware/Internal Stakeholder testing
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance testing in a client/server environment, or its equivalent.
Experience in executing test cases and test scripts from Functional Specifications or Business Rules.
Experienced with slot machines, accounting systems, peripherals, progressive controls, and associated hardware, software, and firmware, preferred.
Test automation techniques, implementation, and tools expertise.
Proficient in using Linux, burning various media types, and familiar with reading/understanding C++.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with data query and analysis techniques
Must be a team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and work under tight deadlines.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

$65,004 - $120,721 per yearOur goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
