Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an Associate Product Manager/ Sr Associate Product Manager for Technology Products at the Fort Worth, TX location. You will help drive strategy and design for TPS, Operations Communication, and AMCS solutions within the Next-Gen Operations Platform.

Partner with operational and tech teams to translate business needs into actionable deliverables. You will lead requirements, define future-state workflows, manage change initiatives, and support multi‑phase

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3 years product management experience; 5 years equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product discovery, market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to inform product direction.
• Synthesize company objectives into concrete problems with measurable success metrics.
• Create and maintain an initiative source of truth document with overview, stakeholder mapping, workstreams, and milestones.
• Communicate updates through verbal, written, and visual storytelling (slides, maps, docs).
• Facilitate collaboration between product and non-product teams with stakeholder alignment.
• Partner with Technology Procurement to conduct RFIs and RFPs.
• Identify and recommend investment areas based on research and business goals.
• Track and measure impact of strategic initiatives to support product teams.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and bring clarity to ambiguity.
• Influence strategic direction of the product(s) and cross-product journey.
• Care for customer or team member experience; consider upstream and downstream impacts.
• Regularly collect, analyze, and synthesize customer feedback from multiple channels.
