This is a full-time, 12-month engagement.

Join a mission-driven company and team focused on building educational products that engage students and drive learning gains. The Associate Product Manager (APM) plays a central role in managing creative conversations across the editorial, design, and production teams to ultimately yield compelling experiences that incorporate research-based instructional approaches, motivation, and UX research. Once in the execution phase, the APM will work closely with each team to problem solve, build scalable processes, and ensure that new products are delivered on time and within budget.

The impact you’ll have:

Support the Senior Product Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Editorial, Design, and QA members to -

  • Support the definition and execution of Core Literacy components
  • Understand and make implementation decisions based on technical capabilities and constraints, as well as pedagogical and UX best practices, identify and solve problems creatively

Create and/or maintain documentation and be available to answer questions from other teams

Help drive execution workflows for authoring and publishing by -

  • authoring and reviewing key metadata
  • fixing content defects

Help drive planning and execution workflows at different stages of the product development life cycle -

  • Support process definition for new concepts, collaborating with Editorial, Design, and Production

Support the definition and specification creation of lessons and activities as they move through the development process to ensure learning objectives and engagement goals are balanced and achieved.

What we’re looking for:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in content management systems
  • Background in Reading Instruction
  • Digital publishing, teaching experience, orproduct development experience
  • Ability to contribute to multiple tasks or efforts simultaneously
  • Strength in self-driven performance and initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective relationship management

We’d also love to see:

  • A background in creating digital educational content for children
  • Experience with digital media
  • Familiarity with project management software such as JIRA and Confluence

Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay – This role’s base pay is $30.00/hour. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
Benefits – Temporary and per-diem employees who average at least 30 hours of work per week within the Company’s look-back period are eligible to enroll in medical coverage after 90 days of employment. Temporary and per-diem employees working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays. All temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time.
