Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to direct and coordinate activities in support of the Product Manager. You will investigate new product ideas for market potential, serve as a technical advisor, and back up the Product Manager by answering Sales and Operations questions.

This role requires 3 years in the Firearms industry in Product Management or related roles and involves collaboration with Sales, R&D, Operations, and suppliers. Travel to events/tradeshows may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience.
• 3 years in the Firearms industry in Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Monday.com, Oracle, and PLM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to understand customers' needs and translate into actionable plans.
• Assist Product Manager with product requirements documents for products, packaging, accessories, and manuals.
• Create SKUs and BOMs as needed.
• Support full-spectrum NPI development across stages with Engineering and Project Management.
• Coordinate with Marketing to develop NPI and sustainment marketing campaigns.
• Assist in inventory management and coordinate with 3rd party vendors as required.
• Act as Product Manager in absence of the Product Manager.
• Train and mentor Operations Support Specialists to improve productivity and quality.
