Job summary

Branch International is seeking a product manager to collaborate with a global engineering team to strengthen existing products and build new ones in the fintech space. You will help develop credit, wallet, and investment features, improve core payment reliability, and explore new product ideas.

You will work across design and engineering, triage issues, define requirements, and set quarterly milestones. Remote-first culture with occasional in-person collaboration.

Branch is a global technology company that leverages smartphones and machine learning to provide financial services to underserved customers in Africa and India.

About the Role

Branch launched in India in 2019 and plans to grow its product and engineering team significantly in 2022. As a product manager, you will work with a global engineering team to strengthen existing products and build new ones. Your work will include developing credit, wallet, and investment features, improving core payment reliability, and researching new product ideas.

Responsibilities

• Participate and assist in the lifecycle of development for key areas of the Branch product, from research and detailed spec creation to workflow management and timely delivery.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to triage bugs, define requirements, and set high‑level quarterly milestones.
• Evaluate, initiate, and manage partnerships with third‑party vendors to support the product roadmap.
• Draw insights from user research, experiments, and industry trends to set strategy and prioritize projects that grow our customer base and adopt new products.

Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, clarify ambiguous questions, and chart a path forward.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure initiatives quantitatively and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working with remote teams.
• Driven to learn new skills, solve complex problems, and work closely with cross‑functional teams including Design and Engineering.
• Resourceful, comfortable working with limited resources, and willing to tackle big challenges.

Additional Criteria

• 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Experience in the fintech industry is a plus but not required.
