Job summary

Flexsteel Industries, Inc. seeks a product development support professional to perform market and product trend research for new development projects. You will help prepare NPD Stage Gate deliverables and ensure timely communication of initiatives across departments to support portfolio decisions.

You will develop an understanding of core product offerings, collaborate with purchasing and quality teams, and work with Design & D&E to integrate new features. Travel ~10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Market/Product trend research to support new development projects.
• Supports and participates in preparation and presentation of project deliverables required by NPD Stage Gate process.
• Ensures NPD initiatives are communicated across cross functional departments beyond gated process.
• Assists with Product Portfolio management by updating the Value Profile support data and maintaining visual display of Promote/Support/Retire product, by category and Value Profile tier as required.
• Develops and maintains an understanding of core product offering.
• Works with corporate purchasing and quality control to understand and resolve product concerns negatively impacting customer experience.
• Collaborates with Design & D&E team to incorporate new / updated function and/or features into new developments.
• Travel Required (10%).
