Schedule: 9/80 2nd shift

The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles, and airborne platforms. Job Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, modify, and analyze semiconductor processing or products/devices. Troubleshoot and improve existing processes or products. Compile and evaluate design and test data. Recommend design approaches to meet production requirements. Use statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments and SPC.
  2. Support engineering with routine duties and hands-on tasks.
  3. Work independently on daily tasks.
  4. Assist in designing, building, and procuring new or improved machines, tools, fixtures, and material handling equipment.
  5. Complete process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc., under direction.
  6. Review project instructions and drawings to understand test specifications, procedures, and objectives.
  7. Design, fabricate, and assemble electrical and mechanical components or assemblies.
  8. Set up and conduct tests of units and components.
  9. Analyze test results, adjust equipment, and document procedures and findings.
  10. Assist in creating documentation to maintain equipment.
  11. Support and promote the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  12. Assist in developing plant layouts, manufacturing methods, and process improvements.
  13. Coordinate maintenance projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Technical Field, or 4+ years of experience with Military Electronics and hands-on hardware experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge and familiarity with shop/laboratory equipment.

*U.S. Citizenship required. Must have or be able to obtain a DOD security clearance within a reasonable time.
