  • JD, LL.B. or equivalent degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house or at a law firm.
  • Experience with working regulations in several of the following regulatory areas such as privacy, data use, AI, competition, content and financial services.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience directly advising enterprise or cloud companies.
  • Experience in utilizing AI tools to streamline and scale legal support.
  • Ability to support new and emerging regulations and flexibility to develop expertise on first of a kind issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and explain legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000-$312,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Advise on regulations that may impact cloud products across areas such as privacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), competition, content, financial services and data use.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams across Google to understand Google compliance strategy and advocate for cloud product compliance strategy.
  • Advise compliance and product teams with an appropriate risk assessment.
  • Advise commercial teams globally on customer concerns regarding compliance and assist with agreement negotiations as needed.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders and counsel to collaboratively develop strategies.
