The Role

This position is for a Producer/Broker in development, working as part of an existing team for mentorship and training. The role involves developing a personal book of business and building relationships with carriers and retail insurance agents. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining underwriting files and understanding policy reviews, inspections, and endorsements.
• Understanding markets and underwriting guidelines.
• Soliciting new business using various sales and marketing techniques.
• Building relationships within a territory through agency visits, telemarketing, and cross-selling.

Additionally, you will train and mentor under a successful Producer/Broker, working with retail agents to develop and submit business, assess submissions, negotiate terms, and coordinate administrative workflows to ensure timely responses.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with knowledge and experience in property and casualty insurance, including:

• Coverage, rating, terminology, and technical procedures.
• Property & Casualty license / E&S licenses are preferred but not required.
• Sales-driven, personable individuals who enjoy building relationships and learning sales strategies.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Reader, with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
• Strong business writing and analytical skills.
• Energetic, self-motivated, goal-oriented team players.
• 2-3 years supporting production roles; 1-3 years with a wholesaler preferred.
• Aiming to become a Producer/Broker within 1-2 years.
