Wellington Management is seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Associate to join the Private Climate Investing Team. The Climate Innovation Fund (CIF) is a growth‑stage fund investing in companies that develop solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate change across sectors such as energy, buildings, smart cities, industrial efficiency, transportation, and food and agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with outbound market research and company mapping activities.
• Performing due diligence on prospective portfolio companies.
• Building and maintaining company financial models and other analysis on current and prospective investments.
• Drafting investment memos and participating in investment committee discussions.
• Attending target company management meetings and relevant industry conferences.
• Assisting with quarterly and annual reporting to Limited Partners.
• Completing complex analytical projects under tight time constraints.

Essential Qualifications

• Strong analytical acumen, financial modeling skills, and research experience.
• Ability to synthesize disparate information, identify key elements, and communicate findings clearly.
• Proven expertise in market mapping and desktop research.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills; a self‑directed, hard‑working team player.
• Agility and flexibility to move across workstreams, manage multiple projects, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relationship building ability with founders, co‑investors, and industry contacts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for drafting investment materials.
• Passion for climate change impacts, emerging technologies, and application of technology to global challenges.

Additional Qualifications

• Base salary range: USD90,000–180,000.
