Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate Private Banker in Omaha, Nebraska to provide product and service support for the Private Banking Group. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Private Bankers to assess client opportunities and establish effective cash management solutions.

Job description

Associate Private Banker (APB) will provide product and service support for Private Bankers and the Region Manager within Morgan Stanley’s Private Banking Group.

Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with Private Bankers and Advisors to assess opportunities and provide suitable cash management and lending solutions for their clients.
  • Partner with Private Bankers to provide financial advisors and their clients with Private Banking products and solutions, as well as distribution and service support.
  • Establish a reputation for execution and excellence, gaining the confidence of financial advisors and Private Bankers to fully develop cash management and lending opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain adequate marketing pipelines to meet revenue targets.
  • Communicate new product and policy enhancements to financial advisors and branch staff.
  • Work with and communicate effectively with financial advisors, branch managers and staff, Private Bankers, and product partners.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with an investment, commercial, or private bank.
  • 2 years of client‑service, business development, and/or Sales Desk experience.
  • Experience in understanding the financial needs of all types of clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant work experience.
Skills / Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of cash management and lending products, including bank deposits, certificates of deposit, credit cards, residential mortgage products, home equity lines of credit, securities‑based loans, high‑net‑worth tailored lending products and commercial credit products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building, business development, and service skills with a desire to consistently achieve top‑quartile results.
  • Ability to understand the financial needs of retail brokerage clientele.
  • Maintain poise, presence, and professionalism with financial advisors and affluent clients, even in difficult circumstances.
  • Software proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate positive initiative, leadership, and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal collaboration and team skills, including cross‑functional teamwork.
