Lonza AG in Portsmouth, NH is looking for a dedicated and ambitious Associate Principal Scientist to join our world-class MSAT team. This outstanding opportunity allows you to contribute to scientific innovation and make a meaningful impact on millions of lives by developing and transferring large-scale manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a technical lead for technology transfer, validation, and lifecycle management initiatives.
2. Collaborate with customer technical and quality representatives as the technical SME to represent MSAT on project teams.
3. Develop process understanding and expertise to successfully implement manufacturing solutions.
4. Author, review, and own process-related documentation to ensure flawless execution.
5. Coordinate change controls and lead all aspects of the implementation of changes as the assigned change agent.
6. Monitor and report on process performance through detailed data analysis and live presentations.
7. This is an individual contributor position and will not have direct reports.

Key Requirements:

1. Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.
2. 12+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in manufacturing science and technology functions, including biotech processes, process development, scale-up, tech transfer, and manufacturing.
3. Proven knowledge of aseptic techniques and cell culture.
4. Experience with bioreactor operation and scale-up.
5. Excellent ability to effectively communicate ideas and points of view, both orally and in written form. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to excellence.
6. Prioritizes safety awareness at all times and carefully considers the impact of actions before completing activities.
7. Ability to share 24/7 on-call support while the process is being manufactured.
