Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist in Clinical Research to lead early-phase clinical trial design and execution within Translational Medicine and Clinical Operations.

You will partner with discovery sciences and late-stage clinical research to translate discoveries into human proof-of-concept and drive data quality across Phase 1 programs. The role requires strong leadership, excellent scientific writing, and the ability to operate under GCP/ICH regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• At least 3 years Phase 1 clinical trial experience.
• Experience developing immunology clinical programs and trials in healthy participants and/or patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning and execution of early-phase clinical trials and programs.
• Author clinical protocols, investigator brochures, and study reports.
• Mentor junior staff and coach cross-functional teams to meet milestones.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, ICH and regulatory requirements.
