PepsiCo in Plano, TX seeks a R&D leader to drive screening, testing, development and validation of new dehydration processing technologies in baking & drying. The role partners with global teams and vendors to build a future portfolio of capabilities and to deliver technology from feasibility through scale-up.
The position reports to the R&D Baked Process Capabilities Sr. Manager and involves travel up to 25%.

This position will lead screening, testing, development and validation of new processing technologies in Baking & Drying. This person will be a thought leader in advancing processing technology, tools, and capabilities to build future looking portfolio of capabilities for baking & drying.
This role is based in Plano, TX and reports to the R&D Baked Process Capabilities Sr. Manager.
Lead key scoping, screening, development, optimization and scale up new dehydration technologies in baking and drying for processing of foods.
Demonstrate strong technical skills by utilizing engineering and scientific methods to solve key process and product problems.
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams in R&D, external vendors and contractors to overcome hurdles and develop future technology/product pipeline that deliver against business priorities.
Translate complex technical challenges into appropriate work plan leveraging digital tools to enable faster and better innovation.
Apply Technical & Business Governance processes effectively from feasibility through scale-up/post-launch by leading the identification, assessment, validation and commercialization of process technologies
Provide technical risk assessment and mitigation plans related to process development.
Manage project timelines, budget and provide timely communication to leadership.
