We are excited to offer a full-time position at the White Mountains Learning Center. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and caring.

Duties
Prepare Youth for Success
  • Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Respond sensitively to children's interests, requests, and needs, encouraging exploration and positive guidance.
  • Plan and outline curriculum to meet individual needs, incorporating elements of emergent curriculum.
  • Maintain program goals to ensure health and safety.
  • Evaluate programs regularly, tracking outcomes and ensuring responsiveness to member diversity.
  • Use observation notes for curriculum planning and maintain accurate records.
  • Account for members by name and face.
  • Ensure compliance with NAEYC standards, GSQ, Culture DNA, BGCCNNH, and CCLU policies.
  • Administer medications and first aid as needed, communicating with families.
  • Assist in classroom upkeep and organization.
Program Development, Implementation, and Supervision
  • Maintain proper record-keeping and weekly reports.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and children.
  • Supervise staff, volunteers, and students; provide feedback.
  • Support volunteers and students through modeling.
  • Lead planning meetings and increase program visibility via social media and communication channels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be an associate teacher qualified before November 6, 2017, with relevant coursework or experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum development, and child development.
  • Ability to create developmentally appropriate relationships and promote positive behavior.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to adhere to dress code and policies.
  • Obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications.
  • May need to drive the club van and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Willingness to assist with cleaning and organization, maintain confidentiality, and travel occasionally.

Additional expectations include background checks and adherence to zero-tolerance policies for abuse.
