Job summary

Federated Hermes, Inc. seeks an Associate Application Developer for our Global Technology Office in Warrendale, PA. You will design, develop, and maintain Power Platform-driven business apps, collaborating with stakeholders to automate processes and improve workflows.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work on Agile projects, follow SDLC standards, and support UAT while exploring new Power Platform capabilities to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a comparable technical/engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem including SharePoint Online, Teams and Outlook preferred.
• Experience with relational data sources such as SQL Server preferred.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles and experience designing user-friendly, business-focused applications preferred.
• Experience working on Scrum/Agile projects, Azure DevOps (or similar tools), and Git code version control preferred.
• Experience with backlog management, gathering requirements and testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Platform to meet evolving business needs with appropriate guidance.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and opportunities for workflow automation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions, ensuring performance, usability, and alignment with governance standards.
• Develop using an Agile approach by quickly delivering proof-of-concept apps and workflows while using feedback loops to refine usability and functionality.
• Optimize applications and system resources to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Adhere to established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, including coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and incident management.
• Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions against business requirements and ensure successful adoption.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and Power Platform capabilities, recommending improvements and innovation opportunities.
