Join to apply for the Associate Portfolio Manager – North America, Fixed Income role at Norges Bank Investment Management.

Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking an outstanding individual to join our successful North America Fixed Income team, part of the Market Strategies Investment Area. The role involves monitoring global fixed income markets, focusing on the United States and Canada, with the goal of generating excess returns through macro fundamental and relative value strategies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth into a risk-taking role within an established team of three portfolio managers and three traders, fostering a culture of excellence, passion, support, and enjoyment.

You will report to the Head of Fixed Income North America and work from our New York office. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

Duties and Responsibilities
What you will do
  • Conduct market analysis and research to support macro and relative value strategies, ideally utilizing quantitative and tech skills.
  • Assist Senior PMs with tasks such as PnL monitoring, strategy attribution, and preparing presentations.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure including models, signal generation, scenario analysis, and credit analysis related to government securities.
  • Generate trade ideas by proposing themes and opportunities across various markets including rates, FX, derivatives, and credit.
Qualifications
What You Need
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance; experience with quantitative analysis or managing fixed income portfolios is a plus.
  • University degree in finance, economics, or mathematics; CFA charter or master's degree is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in technology (Python, Excel/VBA, SQL/Snowflake) and strong quantitative skills.
