Job Overview:

Our High Quality Credit investment team is in search of an Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) to help maximize the performance of our High Quality multisector account suite. The APM is responsible for maintaining risk exposures, cash levels, and appropriate sector and security allocations across numerous multi-sector accounts. This role provides an opportunity to interact across multiple investment teams and collaborate with client and corporate services in a highly flat and dynamic organization. The primary focus of the role is to contribute to the management of the teams allocation across High Quality Credit (e.g., Short Duration Strategies) while collaborating and engaging other sector-based teams. This role is based in our Jersey City, New Jersey office and reports to a Portfolio Manager (High Quality Credit).

We’ll trust you to:
  • Ensure positioning is consistent with teams views, risk targets, and client risk and return objectives working closely with lead portfolio managers
  • Help contribute to Strategy and account level performance
  • Assist in communication of macro-outlook and high-level positioning
  • Implement overall high-level asset class and sub industry allocations in line with multi-sector team views
  • Work with technology and operations teams to ensure processes and systems are appropriate and continuously improving
  • Understand client guidelines and preferences, interacting regularly with our client experience and compliance teams
  • Engage with Investment Associates
You'll need to have:
  • 4+ years of experience in portfolio analytics or investment management role
  • Buy-side experience working in a team-oriented environment is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills to work across many accounts and sectors
  • Ability to effectively communicate and drive results in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA and/or CFA designation is viewed positively but not required

Compensation Information:Annual base salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Discretionary Bonus:Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
