Job summary

MIO Partners, Inc. is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to help assess and manage multi-strategy hedge fund investments in the public markets. You will work closely with the CIO and Portfolio Manager to add alpha while managing risk and capital charges.

Key tasks include sourcing new manager opportunities, preparing analyses and shortlists with evidence-based recommendations, and actively monitoring managers. You will also maintain documentation and assist in negotiating terms.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of investment management experience.
• Strong Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg, Python, and PowerPoint.
• Desire to work in a values-oriented environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interact with top hedge fund managers.
• Decisiveness based on thorough research and conviction.

Responsibilities

• Support the CIO in managing external hedge fund investments.
• Perform in-depth research to source new manager opportunities.
• Prepare analyses and shortlists; provide evidence-based hiring recommendations.
• Monitor managers; discuss market insights and alignment with investors.
• Maintain documentation for current and prospective managers.
• Assist in negotiating fund investment terms.
