Job summary

MIO Partners, Inc. seeks an Associate Portfolio Manager to support long/short equity investments in the public markets.

You will work closely with the PMs and CIO, performing research, constructing analyses, and monitoring external hedge fund relationships to add alpha to portfolios. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in investment management, strong Excel proficiency, and experience with Bloomberg, Python, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in investment management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg, Python and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a track record of rigorous analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support the CIO and PM in managing a book of external hedge fund investments in long/short equity.
• Perform in-depth research to source new manager opportunities and prepare analyses.
• Monitor managers and maintain documentation; manage relationships and negotiate terms with managers.
• Develop and refine conceptual frameworks for assessing third-party equity strategies; backtest and analyze data.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve investment processes and outputs.
