Michael Kors is seeking an Associate Planner for the Outlet division to develop financial plans and monitor sales, inventory, and profit across outlet stores and ecommerce. You will work with the buying team to manage open-to-buy, analyze seasonal assortments, and develop merchandising strategies in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in Retail Planning/Allocation, strong Excel skills, and a passion for fashion trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in Retail Planning, Store Planning and/or Allocation.
• Advanced Excel Skills

Responsibilities

• Initiate analysis and develop financial strategy for a rapidly growing retail business across multiple classifications and channels (outlet stores, and ecommerce).
• Create seasonal, monthly, and weekly plans and forecasts for sales, inventory, markdowns and gross margin.
• Monitor performance and partner with buying team to develop merchandise strategies to achieve plans.
• Play an active role in making pricing recommendations.
• Initiate and develop actionable analysis to recap business by classification and subclass at a top-line as well as store level.
• Partner with buying team to create strategies to drive sales and achieve gross margin profitability.
• Manage and update monthly open-to-buy.
• Recommend buys based on thorough analysis of retail business prior to each market to achieve increased sales, profitability and sell-thru %.
• Provide suggested SKU count targets at a class and store cluster level.
• Analyze key item style performance and forecast inventory needs.
• Work with buying team and stores to analyze business by door to maximize sales and stock opportunities.
• Monitor flow of initial assortments as well as reorders to stores by classification and by style.
• Aid in allocation strategies to increase productivity and manage omni-inventory.
