Role Overview: Responsible for providing patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting; performs clerical and administrative duties related to patient care, including greeting, check-in, answering phones, collecting payments, processing paperwork, and other front office tasks in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 6 PM; Saturday, 6 AM - 4:30 PM. You will work 8 hours within these time frames.

Location: 8775 Norwin Avenue, Irwin, PA.

We offer comprehensive paid training, with hours to be discussed on your first day or based on your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate with patients and/or families in person or by phone to complete registration, collect demographics, health info, verify insurance.
  2. Use computer systems to enter, access, or verify patient data ensuring accuracy.
  3. Gather clinical info, process referrals, pre-certifications, pre-authorizations as per insurance requirements.
  4. Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and create price estimates or re-verifications as needed.
  5. Collect co-pays and discuss financial obligations with patients.
  6. Identify and collect outstanding balances from previous visits.
  7. Collect data directly from patients.
  8. Respond to patient and caregiver inquiries with compassion and respect.
  9. Generate and analyze patient data reports, follow up on issues.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week), flexible shifts 6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for most of the shift
  • Reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years customer service experience in healthcare or related fields
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in hospital or physician office registration, insurance reimbursement, or financial verification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies
  • Basic math skills for financial transactions

Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Note: The sign-on bonus is only for external candidates. Internal employees are ineligible.

The salary range is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour, based on full-time employment and various factors. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and incentives.
