Job summary

Pine Street Baptist Church in Georgia is seeking an Associate Pastor to work with the Senior Pastor of 32 years. The role offers mentoring, opportunities to preach, teach, and lead without bearing the full responsibilities of a senior pastor.

The Associate Pastor will assist in carrying out the ministry, with duties including preaching, shepherding, outreach, counseling, and worship planning, while developing discipleship and overseeing staff under guidance.

Qualifications

• Confessing born again believer in Jesus Christ.
• Meet the character qualifications for Pastor per Scripture.
• Maintain a close personal walk with Jesus Christ.
• Ordained to the Gospel ministry or willingness to be ordained and evidence of a divine call.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Pastor in the church's mission and leadership.
• Preach and teach as needed.
• Assist in shepherding and caring for the church family, including outreach and counseling.
• Coordinate with the Senior Pastor in planning worship services.
• Develop and oversee the discipleship ministry of the church.
• Provide leadership and oversight to support staff.
