Job Description

The Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease (MCCNAD) and the Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM) seek a full-time tenure track Investigator at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Human Neuroimaging, emphasizing Magnetic Resonance Imaging and/or Positron Emission Tomography.

The ideal candidate will have an active research program aligned with MCCNAD's mission, which focuses on patient care, understanding cognition and brain aging, and developing treatments for dementia. The appointment will be in the Department of Radiology, which is dedicated to education, research, and patient care. Facilities include two 3T Siemens Prisma MR scanners dedicated to research and several PET/CT and PET/MR scanners at Northwestern Medicine, Chicago.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research and secure funding.
  • Lead the ADRC Imaging Core, supporting imaging needs for MCCNAD research projects.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess a PhD, MD, or equivalent, with a strong record of research productivity and grant funding in neuroimaging related to aging or dementia. They should demonstrate collaboration, diversity of thought, and mentoring skills.
