Description:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Hematology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certification in pediatric hematology/oncology (preferred) or medical hematology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, pediatric residents and pediatric hematology/oncology fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include the treatment of children and adolescents with a wide range of hematologic disorders, as well as oversight of clinical services in the Sickle Cell Program.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading the Division’s clinical research program in hemoglobinopathies.

Administrative responsibilities will include administration of the Sickle Cell Center and maintaining liaisons with government entities, CHOP leadership, and the sickle cell disease community.

Applicants in mid-career are encouraged to apply. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will have an established publication history and a strong national/international reputation.
