Job summary

RBC Capital Markets LLC in Minneapolis is seeking an analytical professional to support our incoming Manual Transfers team. You will review, process, and record data, and assist with research and information requests across RBC units, helping clients and internal partners navigate complex processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of related experience in business, finance, customer service, or accounting.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and provide work direction to others.
  • Effective problem identification, analytical, and resolution skills with proficient Windows-based software skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, strong customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process incoming manual transfers.
  • Liaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other operation's departments, RBC Business Units, external customers or industry participants.
  • Understand department procedures and required accountabilities in the area or department in which the incumbent works.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reduce risk by suggesting process changes or modifications as appropriate.
  • Address escalated questions independently, seeking assistance from Team Lead or Manager as appropriate following established department procedures.

What is the opportunity?

The primary purpose for this position is to provide analysis, processing, and customer service support for our incoming Manual Transfers team. Incumbent will review, verify, and record data into technology systems supporting department processes. Incumbent will address escalated questions independently seeking assistance from Team Lead or Manager as appropriate following established department procedures. Position contains risk which are managed through operational reviews, system checks, and adherence to procedures.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • High school diploma or equivalent with three years of job related experience in business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, train and provide work direction to others.
  • Effective problem identification, analytical, and resolution skills along with proficient computer skills in Windows-based software products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, strong customer service skills, organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
Nice-to-have
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field.
  • Previous experience in the securities or banking industry.
  • Experience with brokerage systems.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $45,000 - $70,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
