The Associate Coordinator will work alongside the Coordinator and the other Associate Coordinator to perform all functions relating to open records for the University campus. Prepare, interpret, and review policies, agreements and other documents to ensure compliance with applicable State of Texas PIA, Federal HIPAA and Federal FERPA laws.
Juris doctorate. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work in a professional manner independently and as a team member. Strong business process skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
At least one year of experience working with the Texas Public Information Act; Experience interpreting and applying the State of Texas rules, regulations, policies, and or procedures relating to open records. Familiarity with GovQA software.
$75,000 + depending on qualifications
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
