Job summary

Rolls-Royce is hiring an Associate Applications Engineer for Oil & Gas in a hybrid, Houston-based role. You’ll join cross-functional teams to support operators and OEMs, help integrate complex project systems, including ICE engines, generators and plant controls, and participate in field trials and emissions testing.

Ideal candidates have an engineering degree (or equivalent experience) and hands-on skills in LabVIEW, CAN/MODBUS, CAD, and analysis methods.

Qualifications

• Associate’s/Bachelor’s/Master’s in engineering or related tech field with 0–2+ years (or 4+ years experience in lieu of a degree)
• Experience with engineering tools and protocols including LabVIEW, NI hardware, and power systems knowledge
• Familiarity with MODBUS and CAN bus (J1939) protocols, CAD modeling, and uncertainty analysis

Responsibilities

• Provide technical applications support to Oil & Gas operators and OEMs across project systems
• Apply Systems Engineering across the product lifecycle from requirements to verification
• Support field testing and emissions compliance testing
• Drive product reliability and safety through end-to-end project engagement
